As a leading global independent music publishing and consulting company, Music Asset Management (MAM) was founded in 2006 by industry veteran Mary Jo Mennella, one of the most well-known and respected rights administration and licensing experts in the industry. MAM provides domestic and international copyright, royalty and licensing administration services for some of the world’s top songwriters, song catalogs, film and TV composers, film studios, music publishers and media companies. From global chart-topping hits such as “Despacito [Remix]” to classics like “Route 66,” the MAM team is entrusted to manage some of the most successful songs in the world, as well as catalogues for award-winning film / TV composers and major TV shows, such as ELLEN. MAM launched and continues to exclusively manage Pulse Publishing Administration, a Top 10 U.S. music publisher (2018 Billboard publishing market share charts) and AIMP’s 2018 “Indie Publisher of the Year.”
Jody Ikehara Nelson has been promoted to Vice President of Client Services. Nelson joined Music Asset Management in 2007 during the company’s inaugural year. In her elevated position, Jody will continue to work closely with MAM clients in overseeing copyright and royalties, licensing and income tracking and other issues in order to deliver the highest level of accuracy and timely payments. Mark Isham, one of the entertainment industry’s most respected composers, has signed a worldwide administration deal with MAM. Isham has scored over 400 movies and TV programs, and received 100 award nominations and 57 awards, including ASCAP’s Henry Mancini Award. His films have earned over $4 billion in gross box office receipts. Some of Isham’s memorable scores have included the Oscar-winning films Crash and A River Runs Through It, and the Golden Globe-winning film Bobby.
MV2 Entertainment, a Nashville-based music publishing, artist development and management company, has signed an exclusive, worldwide administration deal with MAM. Founded in 2015 by James Archer and Tony Harrell, the company has a hitmaker writer roster including David Frasier, Thomas Archer, Josh Thompson, Nick Donley, and artist Nora Collins. MV2’s catalogue includes Kelly Clarkson's new global smash, "I Dare You," which was released in 6 languages, as well as the hit singles "Most People Are Good" by Luke Bryan, "Heartache Medication" by Jon Pardi, and "Rainbow" by Kacey Musgraves.
Award-winning composer/producer Miriam Cutler has signed a worldwide administration deal with MAM. Cutler has scored over 100 films and TV programs, produced and recorded albums, and performed live in many bands and venues. In 2019 she received Emmy Award nominations for her scores to RBG and Love, Gilda.

Mary Jo Mennella has announced the promotions of Manny Cruz to Royalty Director and Nate Harar to Royalty Manager. Manny and Nate both joined Music Asset Management in 2015.
Dale Melidosian, MAM's VP Legal Affairs and Operations, has been elected to the board of the Association of Independent Music Publishers for a two year term. Dale joined MAM in 2017 and also serves as legal advisor to tech start up VEZT after serving for many years as General Counsel for Wixen Music and in-house Counsel at BMG, 20th Century Fox and Bug Music.
The re-release of Aretha Franklin's thirty-sixth studio album This Christmas (DMI Records/WMG), features a new mix of "Silent Night," which debuted at No.28 on the Billboard AC chart Nov 24th. The album was co-produced by the legendary artist and long-time MAM client, Tena Clark, a music industry veteran and the founder, CEO and Chief Creative Officer of DMI Music & Media, a premier global music and entertainment agency.
MAM Founder and CEO Mary Jo Mennella has been elected to the board of the Independent Music Publishers e-Licensing (IMPEL). As a major collective of indie publishers, IMPEL offers its members the ability to combine their repertoire and offer it on a multi-territory basis to digital music-services under a single license.
