MARY JO MENNELLA
FOUNDER AND CEO
As one of the most well-known and respected rights administration and licensing experts in the industry, Mary Jo Mennella is the owner and CEO of Music Asset Management, Inc. (MAM), a leading independent music publishing consulting company that she founded in 2006. In 2023 MAM joined forces with Toronto-based publisher Red Brick Songs, for which she is an advisor. Previously, Mary Jo was a founder of Pulse Publishing Administration, a venture MAM launched in 2014 and managed for the Pulse Music Group. She has additionally served in executive roles at ASCAP, Saban Entertainment, and Fox Filmed Entertainment, where she was SVP and General Manager of Music Publishing for more than 15 years. Mary Jo currently serves on the board of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and is Chair of its West Coast Events committee. She is also on the boards of the Independent Music Publishers Forum (IMPF) and Independent Music Publishers e-Licensing (IMPEL), and is a Past President of the AIMP.
JODY IKEHARA NELSON

Jody Ikehara Nelson is a highly-respected music publishing executive who has been a driving force at MAM since 2007. Jody oversees all operations with an emphasis on client relations and quality control of the company’s extensive music services. She also provides consultation in all areas of music publishing, from copyright management to licensing, as well as detailed income analysis. Jody enjoys maintaining MAM’s reputation of providing diligent and detailed services in this crucial time for data management.
