As one of the most well-known and respected rights administration and licensing experts in the industry, Mary Jo Mennella is the owner and CEO of Music Asset Management, Inc. (MAM), a leading independent music publishing and consulting company she founded in 2006. She is also a founder of Pulse Publishing Administration, a venture she helped launch in 2014 and continues to exclusively manage for the Pulse Music Group.

For decades, Mennella has been a successful and passionate entrepreneur dedicated to rights management. With expansive worldwide relationships and broad experience, her company manages administration for a multitude of rights owners and creators, including world renowned songwriters and composers, film and TV studios, music publishers and other media companies. She has also been at the forefront of the digital landscape, helping top tier companies navigate and thrive throughout the evolution of distribution platforms in all media.

Mennella’s team is entrusted to manage some of today’s biggest hits by the most popular songwriters and composers in the world, such as the global smash, “Despacito [Remix]” by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee ft. Justin Bieber, along with classic hits such as “Route 66,” and TV shows such as ELLEN.

Prior to launching Music Asset Management, Mennella was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Music Publishing at Fox Filmed Entertainment where she was charged with overseeing the publishing and master recording catalogs for 20th Century Fox, (Titanic), Fox Broadcasting (The SIMPSONS), and affiliated production units. Before joining Fox, Mennella was a key executive at Saban Entertainment and at ASCAP, where she began her career in the entertainment business.

An accomplished musician, an advocate for creators’ rights, and a champion of songwriters, Mennella serves on the board of the Songwriters Hall of Fame as its West Coast Chair since 2010. Among her many philanthropic efforts and industry affiliations, she is a Past Chairman of the Music & Entertainment Industry for City of Hope and a Past President of the AIMP.


KeithKeith Taylor (Chief Financial Officer) oversees MAM’s financial interests including accounting services for the company.  Keith has spent more than 30 years in the financial services industry. The majority of his career has been spent in the banking industry where he functioned in a wide array of positions including Regional Vice President, Chief Credit Officer and Entertainment Division Manager. For eight years, he was the managing partner and owner of an independent accounting and business management firm that specialized in taxation and venture capital matters.




deniseDenise Maurin (Business Affairs Management) joined Music Asset Management as a Consultant in February 2014 and subsequently assumed the role of oversight of Business Affairs. Denise specializes in Copyright, Licensing, Business Affairs and operational efficiencies. Prior to joining MAM she served as Senior Vice President at Music Sales Corp. in both New York and Los Angeles as head of administration performing due diligence on numerous writer and publishing catalogue acquisitions. Denise began her career in New York at ASCAP and relocated to the west coast working at ASCAP then moving on to Berry Gordy’s Jobete Music and later Famous Music (a division of Paramount Pictures).



Manny2Manny Cruz (Royalty Manager) is a veteran of royalty administration having spent 9 years at peermusic followed by 2 years at Tune Core. Manny, a Cal State Northridge graduate, joined MAM in 2015 and is responsible for oversight of all royalty distributions, statement analysis and acts as liaison to all MAM clients for royalty matters.




RandyRandy Williams (Manager, Copyright and Licensing) is a music industry veteran who joined MAM in 2015. Prior to joining MAM, Randy worked for record labels and publishers including EMI/Capitol, Universal, PolyGram and he helped establish the U.S. office of Notting Hill Music. Randy is responsible for copyright and licensing matters and manages our international sub-publishing activity.




NateNate Harar (Royalty Coordinator) joined Music Asset Management at the end of 2015 and brings with him 5+ years of experience within the music publishing industry. He’s responsible for royalty statement entry and client statement processing, as well as providing various administration support.
